OVERCOMING FEAR!

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not
dismayed, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will
uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Isaiah 41:10
Let us get this little piece off by knowing the simple definition we shall give fear as- False Evidence Appearing Real. Also, let us note that the basic antidote to fear is FAITH – Fear God At all Cost In the Triumphant Hope of Salvation in Jesus Christ. Since our topic is “Overcoming Fear”, it is then easy to settle it that there is fear (in almost all things and in every place) and that every fear can be over-powered. This should also help you to know that there is the fear of God. The enemy of our soul will always want to put us in a fear other than the fear of God, and this can lead to sin, sorrow, misbehaviour, disobedience, death and destruction in hell.

Let it also be clear to you these words in the Bible:
Eccl 12:13- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. KJV

Col 2:15 – And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. KJV

Ps 66:16 – Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul. NKJV

2 Cor 7:1 – Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. – NLT
I will like we deal directly with how to overcome this fear that runs against faith in God. So we follow this few simple truths: –

1 – Have faith in the power of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
– Fear can be terrifying and can led one to seek wrong solutions to immediate pressing issues. Fear makes one feel that the issue cannot be overpowered, or that it is beyond redemption, or that it is unreachable; but when at the event of the fig tree that the Apostles were stunned by the nature of the fig tree after Jesus had spoken to it, the Master Himself responded to the agitations in their mind – Mark 11:22 – And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. KJV

2 – Fill your heart with the true and relevant word of GOD (from the Holy Bible and that which was ministered to you in the different ways through which the Lord speaks to you). Let your words be filled with grace that no situation will go without a word from the treasures answering for it – Please let the word of God dwell in you richly – Colossians 3:16 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. John 8:30-32 – As he spoke these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

3- Speak the relevant word of faith to every situation (no matter how simple or fearful) – Carefully study Ephesians 6:16 – 18 – Above all- taking up with the shield of faith which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thus with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Be equipped with the word of GOD such that it will be as the sword against every dart of the evil one. Remember how our
Lord, Jesus Christ did it when he was tempted in the wilderness. Read Matthew 4:1 – 11; Luke 4:1 – 13

4- Act out (or act on) every word you have believed in without doubt (Read Matthew 14:22 – 36). – In this case, you need to practically live what you have believed in. Let the week say, I am strong because the weak believed in the sustenance of the strength of the spirit of God. If you have faith as small as mustard seed, you will say to the mountain to be moved into the sea and there shall be result. Call those things are not as though they are because you stand on, live and move by faith in the son of God who loves you and gave Himself for you. Hallelujah!

GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU AND FAMILY TILL HIS RETURN IN JESUS CHRIST NAME.
